Tips for better AI results
Whether you're generating a video effect or transforming a photo with Image AI, the quality of your starting image makes all the difference. Follow these tips to get the best results every time.
Tip #1Use a clear, well-lit photo
The AI works from what it sees. Give it the best possible input:
- Use a photo taken in good natural light — avoid dark or blurry images.
- Make sure your subject is sharp and clearly visible.
- Avoid heavy filters or heavy compression on the source image.
Tip #2Keep the background simple
A clean background helps the AI focus on your subject:
- Solid or blurred backgrounds give much cleaner results than busy scenes.
- Avoid backgrounds that share the same color as your subject.
- Outdoor shots with a clear sky or plain wall work very well.
Tip #3Center your subject in portrait mode
Clipher crops images to a 9:16 portrait format — composition matters:
- Position your subject in the center of the frame from head to toe if possible.
- Leave some space above and below to avoid clipping.
- Straight-on angles work best for both Video Effects and Image AI.
Tip #4For Video Effects — one subject is best
The video AI animates the whole frame. To get clean, fluid motion:
- Use photos with a single clear subject rather than group shots.
- Avoid images where multiple people overlap or share similar colors.
- The effect applies to the full image — a simpler scene gives more control.
Tip #5For Image AI — face quality matters most
Image AI preserves your subject's identity. Help it do its job:
- Use a photo where the face is clearly visible and not obscured.
- Front-facing photos give the best identity preservation.
- Higher resolution source images produce sharper final results.
Not happy with the result?
Try cropping the image differently, changing the angle, or switching to a photo with better lighting. Small changes to the input often make a big difference to the output.
